Safe Environment

The Diocese of Phoenix requires all employees and volunteers to complete a Safe Environment training certification.

If you are a new volunteer or if you are thinking about volunteering in the near future, please visit phoenix.cmgconnect.org. Once on the website, you will register for an account, fill out an online application, complete an online foundation class that consists of videos with questions and submit a background check.

The Safe Environment year runs July 1 through June 30. Renewals must be completed every year and background checks every five years. Renewals must be completed by September 30th. New volunteers must complete the process and obtain approval of background check before serving.
