The Catholic community of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish is truly special, yet we lack a home where we can all gather to worship God our Father.
As the town has grown, so have we. While blessed by this increased attendance, our parishioners often experience standing room only and spill over into Highberger Hall. This has led some to attend other churches. We know more friends and relatives would join us if seating were available. Plus, we need room to welcome more new families into our flock.
Building a new church for Our Lady of Guadalupe is now essential – not just something we want – if our parish is to keep growing and fulfilling its role in revitalizing the Church and serving the Queen Creek community.
Our New Church
We want to build a new church on our property that will more than double our worship capacity.
Features include:
- A nave of 30,000 square feet
- Seating for 800
- A larger sacristy, confessionals, adoration chapel
- A cry room, a bridal room, office, and meeting spaces
- New restrooms built for large-scale use and a utility/laundry room
Our Goal
The goal of Our Faith, Our Family, Our Future is to raise $5 million over the next three years. This will be added to the $2.2 million already collected. With an estimated project cost of between $10 and $12 million, this will put us in a strong financial position toward the construction of our new church.
Campaign Prayer
Heavenly Father, through the powerful intercession of Saint Joseph, Patron of workers and Protector of the Universal Church, You entrusted the Holy Family to his faithful care. In his humble workshop, he provided for their needs and taught Your Incarnate Son the dignity of labor and the art of building.
With childlike confidence, we turn to him now, asking his intercession as we seek to meet the vital needs of our parish and diocesan family through the Our Faith, Our Family, Our Future campaign for a new church.
Inspire us, O Lord, to imitate Saint Joseph’s generous stewardship and quiet obedience to Your will, so that our parish and diocese may be strengthened and renewed, better equipped to serve Christ our King and our neighbors in love.
We also implore the maternal help of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Star of the New Evangelization, who brought the light of Christ to the Americas. Through her intercession, grant that our efforts may bear abundant fruit for the growth of faith in Queen Creek and beyond.
We ask this through Christ our Lord, who shared with Saint Joseph and the Blessed Virgin Mary the hidden joys of family life and the fullness of divine love.
FAQs
What is happening with the money we have already collected? Donations made to the Building Fund for the new church are kept in a dedicated account, set aside specifically for this project. The interest generated will be allocated to the new church as well. As of early March, we have collected over $2.2 million dollars!
Who is being asked to support the Our Faith, Our Family, Our Future campaign? Every member of Our Lady of Guadalupe family will be asked to support the campaign. In order to be successful, it is critical that everyone participates.
What if I already give to the Building Fund? We are grateful to everyone who has supported the Building Fund during the past several years! If you make regular contributions, we ask that you prayerfully consider an amount for this campaign, which can be fulfilled over the next 3 years (36 months). You can continue with your current amount or choose another amount and indicate that on your pledge card.
Can I still use the envelopes? Yes! The monthly envelopes can be used to make your pledge payments. You can also set up a recurring gift online.
